Today, Defense Minister Major General Taher Al-Aqeeli convened a significant meeting with the leadership of the First Military Region, including unit commanders and department heads. This meeting aimed to address the current situation within the region, focusing on enhancing operational readiness and improving overall performance.
At the outset of the meeting, which included Major General Fahd Bamoumen, the commander of the region, Minister Al-Aqeeli conveyed greetings from the political leadership, represented by President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council. The Minister expressed appreciation for the diligent efforts of the region’s leadership and acknowledged the exemplary readiness and discipline of its personnel in fulfilling their missions.
The Defense Minister received brief reports concerning the progress of ongoing field operations, emphasizing the military’s crucial role in enhancing security and stability, combating smuggling, and protecting public interests. Al-Aqeeli reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to supporting all military units, ensuring they can execute their duties with efficiency and effectiveness.
Furthermore, Major General Al-Aqeeli underscored the need for intensified efforts and enhanced coordination among units. He urged all personnel to approach their responsibilities with a sense of national duty, thereby maintaining security and stability within the region. He also called for increased vigilance, readiness, and adherence to military discipline.
In response, unit commanders and department heads expressed their readiness to implement directives from military leadership. They pledged to continue their efforts in safeguarding the nation and ensuring its security and stability.
