Aden, Yemen – In a significant gathering held on Wednesday in Aden, Yemen’s temporary capital, Defense Minister Major General Mohsen Al-Daeri met with heads of departments and directors within the Ministry of Defense. The meeting aimed to deliberate on the current military situation in light of the ongoing assaults by the Houthi militias, backed by the Iranian regime, across several fronts.
Strengthening Military Efficiency and Readiness
The session, attended by notable figures including the Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Ahmed Al-Basr and Assistant Defense Minister Major General Saleh Hassan, featured a review of performance reports from various departments and bodies within the Ministry of Defense. These reports highlighted the efforts underway to enhance the efficiency of the armed forces’ personnel.
Major General Al-Daeri emphasized the importance of uniting efforts and integrating roles among the various field, administrative, logistical, and mobilization sectors to elevate the proficiency and effectiveness of the armed forces. He assured that the Defense Ministry’s leadership is committed to bolstering the forces’ resilience and readiness at all levels, ensuring they remain the cornerstone of the nation’s security and stability.
Calls for Enhanced Training and Skill Development
The Defense Minister directed an increase in efforts and the mobilization of resources towards the training of armed forces personnel across various specialties. The aim is to refine their skills through leadership, administrative, and field courses, thereby raising their capabilities and efficiency to uplift the military institution to the highest standards.
The meeting was also graced by the presence of the Chief of Military Intelligence Major General Ahmed Al-Yafei, Head of the Logistic Support Authority Major General Abdulaziz Al-Faqih, Head of the Training Authority Major General Mohammed Al-Radfani, Head of the Human Resources Authority Major General Ahmed Al-Marzouqi, and the Commander of the Military Police Major General Mohammed Al-Shaeri, among other defense department directors.
This gathering underscores the Yemeni Defense Ministry’s proactive approach in confronting threats and enhancing the armed forces’ readiness to secure and stabilize the nation amidst ongoing conflicts.
