A child sustained injuries due to shelling by Houthi militia in the populated areas of Al-Had district, Lahij Province. Local sources reported that on Tuesday, the Houthi forces targeted civilian homes in Wadi Rishan, located in the Al-Had district of Yafa.
The injured child, identified as Akram Saleh Mohammed Saleh, suffered shrapnel wounds to his hand from the Houthi bombardment. Emergency responders transported him to a nearby health facility for treatment.
The Houthi militia frequently shells villages and populated areas in the Al-Had district, contributing to a climate of fear and instability. Meanwhile, intermittent clashes continue between the Southern Transitional Council forces and Houthi fighters in various fronts of the district.
This incident highlights the ongoing conflict in Yemen, where civilians often bear the brunt of military actions. The situation remains dire, with calls for increased humanitarian assistance and protection for vulnerable populations.
