The Chief of General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, emphasized the critical role of military training in enhancing the defensive readiness of armed forces personnel. He highlighted that training equips soldiers with essential military skills necessary for protecting themselves and their homeland.

Graduation Ceremony Highlights

Lieutenant General bin Aziz delivered these remarks during a graduation ceremony for the fourth training session of 2025, held in Marib. This event coincided with Yemen’s celebrations of the Revolution Days on September 26, October 14, and November 30.

The Chief of Staff pointed out that military training fosters self-discipline, respect for order, and instills a sense of responsibility in daily life. Moreover, it promotes teamwork, which is vital for operational success.

Support from Leadership

He acknowledged the significant attention given to human resource development by the political and military leadership, particularly by President Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The graduation of these fighters represents a direct outcome of this support.

Message to Graduates

Addressing the graduates, Lieutenant General bin Aziz stated, “You stand on the threshold of a new phase, equipped with knowledge, skills, and discipline, and carrying the trust of your nation.” He urged them to exemplify performance, discipline, loyalty, courage, and dedication, while utilizing their skills to serve their country and people.

Progress in Training and Readiness

The armed forces have made significant strides in training and qualification over recent years, which has positively impacted their performance across various fronts. They have successfully thwarted infiltration attempts and attacks from the Houthi militia, inflicting substantial losses on the adversary.

He reiterated that ongoing training is essential for maintaining combat readiness. It enables rapid responses in critical situations and helps the forces keep pace with global military developments, enhancing mental alertness, physical fitness, and professionalism in task execution.

In closing, the Chief of Staff expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Operations Authority and the trainers for their substantial efforts in preparation and qualification. He also thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continuous support to the armed forces in training and operational logistics.

Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Ashoul, Chief of Operations, confirmed that the graduates successfully completed their training programs in specialized fields, including armor, communications, military engineering, drone operations, and artificial intelligence.

He urged the graduates to approach their next steps with commitment, sacrifice, and participation in the decisive battle to end the coup and restore state institutions, viewing this as a strategic choice for achieving lasting peace in Yemen and the region.
