Chief of Staff inaugurates the second phase of the training and combat year in the Sixth Region.

In a significant development on Wednesday, the Chief of the General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, presided over the inauguration of the second phase of the 2024 training, combat readiness, and morale preparation year for the Sixth Military Region.

During the inauguration ceremony, the Chief of the General Staff lauded the Sixth Military Region for its efforts in training and qualifying its personnel. He praised the graduates of specialized and quality courses, stating that they would serve as a valuable addition to the armed forces, enhancing the quality of battlefield operations.

Lieutenant General bin Aziz emphasized that the just and comprehensive peace sought by the Yemenis can only be achieved through the efforts of the armed forces’ heroes. He highlighted the importance of maintaining high combat readiness and vigilance, and staying fully prepared for the decisive battle against the Houthi militia group, which is supported by Iran.

The Chief of the General Staff reiterated that the Houthi militia, backed by Iran, is untrustworthy, lacks honor, and only understands the language of force.

The ceremony featured a presentation by the Chief of Staff of the Sixth Military Region, Brigadier General Mohammed bin Rasiah, who outlined the region’s training and qualification efforts. He reviewed the successes achieved during the first half of the 2024 training and combat readiness year, as well as the plans and programs set to be implemented in the current second phase.

Brigadier General bin Rasiah renewed the pledge of allegiance and loyalty to the political and military leadership until the complete liberation of the nation from the Houthi militia, supported by Iran.

The inauguration, attended by the Chief of Operations Major General Khalid Al-Ashool and the Deputy Chief of Training and Qualification Major General Ahmed Al-Abassi, also featured a military parade. Units from the Sixth Military Region demonstrated their high level of combat readiness, reflecting the dedication and preparedness of the region’s heroes.
