Chief of General Staff attends the 4th Commando Course graduation at the 72nd Infantry Brigade.

Military Excellence Celebrated: Graduation of the Fourth Commando Battalion

In a significant event today, the Chief of General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Dr. Sagheer bin Aziz, presided over the graduation ceremony of the fourth commando batch from the 72nd Infantry Brigade in the Seventh Military Region. This batch is proudly named after the martyr Sheikh Rabish Al-Aliy, honoring his heroism and sacrifices.

Leadership’s Salutations and Revolutionary Festivities

During the ceremony, Lt. Gen. bin Aziz conveyed the greetings and congratulations of the political and military leadership to the graduates and attendees. He highlighted the coincidence of the graduation with the celebrations of the Yemeni Revolution’s anniversaries, marking September 26th, October 14th, and November 30th as pivotal moments in Yemen’s history.

Commendation for High Combat Skills

Lt. Gen. bin Aziz praised the high level of combat skills and expertise the members of the fourth commando batch have acquired. He emphasized the crucial role of training and qualification in strengthening the armed forces and achieving the goals of the glorious September 26 Revolution, chiefly building a strong national army to protect the country and safeguard the revolution’s achievements.

A Stronger Military Force Against Terrorism

The Chief of General Staff asserted that the armed forces are now stronger and more resilient in facing the Houthi terrorist group and its destructive project supported by the Iranian regime. He dedicated the naming of this batch to Sheikh Rabish Al-Aliy as a tribute to his great sacrifices in combating the Houthi terrorist project and honoring the community’s supportive efforts towards the armed forces in the sacred national battle.

Acknowledgment of Training Efforts

Colonel Mohammed Al-Ba’wah, Chief of Staff of the 72nd Infantry Brigade, commended the efforts and dedication of those responsible for the training program. He highlighted the high combat and cognitive skills imparted to the heroes, aligning with the brigade’s training and qualification plan to meet the national battle’s requirements.

Display of Military Prowess

The fourth commando batch showcased their physical fitness and high combat skills through a military parade and a tactical combat project during the ceremony. This display underscored the successful acquisition of skills throughout their training period.

Honoring the Outstanding Graduates

The ceremony, attended by Deputy Chief of Training Authority Major General Ahmed Al-Abassi, Commander of the Seventh Military Region Major General Mohammed Rasam Al-Muntasir, and several defense ministry leaders, concluded with the honoring of the top performers and distinguished members of the batch.

This graduation marks a significant milestone in enhancing the capabilities and readiness of Yemen’s armed forces to safeguard the nation’s security and interests.
