The Kingdom of Bahrain has firmly rejected recent statements made by the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These remarks are perceived by Bahrain as a blatant interference in its internal affairs, constituting a clear violation of the principles of sovereignty and non-intervention in the matters of other nations.
According to a report by the Bahrain News Agency, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed complete disapproval of what it termed “unfounded Iranian claims.” The ministry emphasized that attempts to portray legal and sovereign actions as human rights violations represent an unacceptable politicization and a deliberate distortion of facts. Additionally, it conveyed its frustration over Iran’s ongoing behavior, which has persisted for decades.
The ministry clarified that such interventions not only undermine the security and stability of nations but also constitute a blatant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness. It asserted that these statements reflect an irresponsible Iranian policy that negatively impacts relations between countries.
Bahrain reiterated its call for Iran to adhere to the United Nations Charter and to cease its provocative policies and irresponsible statements. The ministry highlighted the importance of respecting the sovereignty of nations and refraining from interference in their internal affairs. This stance underscores Bahrain’s commitment to maintaining its independence and security.
