The Armed Forces announced today the execution of a military operation targeting the capabilities and positions of the Iranian-backed Houthi militias across multiple fronts along the contact lines.
Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the Armed Forces, stated early Saturday that this military action stems from the legitimate right of the Armed Forces to defend their security and that of their heroic members. The operation aims to protect innocent civilians from the repeated and treacherous terrorist attacks carried out by the Houthi militia in the Marib and Hadramout governorates. These assaults have resulted in numerous casualties among both military personnel and innocent citizens.
Colonel Al-Nazili emphasized that this operation showcases the unity of command and control within the Armed Forces. He asserted that any attack on one front represents an assault on all fronts and formations of the Armed Forces and their brave members.
The spokesperson held the Houthi militia and its backers fully responsible for the ongoing escalation. He affirmed that the Armed Forces will not hesitate to protect civilians, their troops, or their positions. Any new aggression will be met with decisive military measures, in accordance with the directives of political and military leadership and the operational situation.
Colonel Al-Nazili urged citizens and tribes across Yemen to rally around the Armed Forces. He called for unity to support the government in restoring state institutions and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people. He highlighted the Houthi militia’s role in plundering the nation’s resources, imposing taxes, and dragging Yemen into regional conflicts driven by external agendas. This has led to the isolation of Yemen from its Arab surroundings and fostered sectarianism and division among its people.
The Armed Forces expressed their appreciation for the courage, resilience, and discipline of their members across all fronts. They paid tribute to the martyrs who fell while fulfilling their duty and extended heartfelt condolences to their families and comrades. The Armed Forces also wished a swift recovery to the injured.
