The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the recent Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait and Bahrain. These assaults also threaten the security and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The ministry characterized these actions as part of an aggressive policy that transcends borders and undermines regional security.
The ministry emphasized that these attacks represent a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. Furthermore, they undermine international efforts aimed at restoring security and stability in the region. Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its full support for Kuwait and Bahrain in taking necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and security.
In a similar vein, both Yemen and Egypt have condemned the Iranian strikes against Kuwait and Bahrain, which involved missiles and drones. They labeled these assaults as a severe violation of sovereignty and a direct threat to regional security and stability.
Cairo reiterated its complete solidarity with Kuwait and Bahrain, stressing the importance of adhering to diplomatic channels. The Egyptian government called for efforts to de-escalate tensions and pursue peaceful dialogue. These steps highlight the significance of collective action in addressing regional security challenges.
Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), also expressed strong condemnation of the Iranian terrorist attacks on Bahrain and Kuwait. He pointed out that these assaults pose a direct threat to the safety of citizens and residents, representing a clear breach of international law. They also undermine regional and international efforts to establish peace and security.
