Arab, Islamic, and international nations have condemned the terrorist attacks carried out by the Iran-backed Houthi militias, which targeted King Khalid International Airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These actions represent a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty, a threat to its security and stability, and a serious escalation that breaches international law and the United Nations Charter.
Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun reiterated his condemnation of the attacks targeting the Kingdom and its vital facilities, particularly King Khalid International Airport. He emphasized that these assaults pose a threat to the security and stability of both the Kingdom and the region.
In a statement, he expressed Lebanon’s full solidarity with the Kingdom’s leadership and people, supporting its efforts to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its territory and vital installations. He stated, “The security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security and stability of the region. Respecting the sovereignty of nations and the safety of their territories, while avoiding attacks on civilian and vital facilities, forms a fundamental pillar for preserving regional stability.”
He also reaffirmed the deep fraternal relations between the two countries and Lebanon’s commitment to enhancing these ties for the benefit of both peoples and the region.
Egypt expressed its strong condemnation of the ongoing attacks on Saudi territory, particularly King Khalid International Airport. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement today, denouncing these blatant assaults and irresponsible actions, which constitute a gross violation of international law and disregard for the safety of civilians of various nationalities.
Egypt firmly rejected these destructive practices that could destabilize the region, affirming its support for Saudi Arabia in confronting these attacks and backing its measures to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens.
Qatar condemned the Houthi attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh in the strongest terms, which resulted in injuries. Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described these actions as a serious violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a direct threat to regional security, civilian safety, and air navigation.
In a statement today, Qatar reiterated its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, supporting all legitimate measures taken to maintain its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. The Ministry emphasized that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Qatar’s security and the collective security system of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). It also wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Bahrain expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the ongoing terrorist attacks perpetrated by the Iran-backed Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, particularly the assault on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. The recurrence of these attacks represents a serious escalation and an extension of the unlawful aggression that targeted the airport just two days prior.
The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that these cowardly and blatant assaults represent a gross violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and the United Nations Charter. They pose a serious and unacceptable threat to regional security, international civil aviation safety, and the safety of passengers and flight crews, constituting a severe breach of the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation and the resolutions of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
The Ministry reaffirmed Bahrain’s complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, fully supporting all measures taken to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability, as well as the rights of its citizens to self-defense in accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter. This aligns with the commitments of member states under the GCC mutual defense agreement, emphasizing that the security and stability of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of Bahrain’s security and that of the GCC states.
Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the brutal attack carried out by the Houthi militia targeting King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia, which constitutes a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a threat to its security and stability. The Ministry expressed its absolute rejection and strong condemnation of the assault on the airport and the ongoing blatant attacks on civilians and economic assets in the Kingdom.
Jordan reaffirmed its complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, supporting all measures taken to protect its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The Republic of Cyprus strongly condemned the Houthi attacks on King Khalid and Abha International Airports, which target civilians and vital infrastructure. Cyprus expressed its solidarity with the Kingdom and extended heartfelt condolences to the victims’ families.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Gambian Cooperation abroad condemned the attacks launched by the Houthi militia on King Khalid and Abha International Airports. It stated that these attacks represent a gross violation of the Kingdom’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, posing a direct threat to the security of the entire Middle East. The Gambia reiterated its full and steadfast support and solidarity with the Government and people of the Kingdom.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the attacks targeting the Kingdom, specifically those against King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. In a statement, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry expressed its complete solidarity with Saudi Arabia, supporting all measures taken to maintain its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents. It also extended heartfelt condolences to the Kingdom’s leadership, government, and people for the victims of these attacks, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jasem Al-Budaiwi, condemned in the strongest terms the treacherous terrorist attacks launched by the Houthi militia on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. He emphasized that the repeated targeting of this civilian facility reflects a criminal approach aimed at terrorizing the innocent and endangering the lives of travelers and workers, in blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.
He stressed that these assaults and the transformation of civilian airports into targets for attack represent a grave escalation that threatens civil aviation safety, necessitating a firm international response to deter these Houthi practices.
He confirmed that the GCC states stand united with Saudi Arabia, fully supporting all measures taken to protect its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and residents. He emphasized that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the GCC states, and any harm to it affects the entire Gulf system.
The Muslim World League also condemned, in the strongest terms, the continued unlawful aggression of the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, particularly the targeting of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in several injuries.
The Secretary-General and President of the Muslim Scholars Association, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, reiterated his condemnation of these treacherous terrorist attacks, which violate all religious values, international laws, and humanitarian norms, confirming the criminal approach of this terrorist militia in deliberately targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure.
He renewed, on behalf of the League’s assemblies, bodies, and councils worldwide, and on behalf of all Islamic peoples under its umbrella, the full solidarity with Saudi Arabia in all measures taken to deter aggressors and preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents, praying for the Kingdom’s protection from all harm and misfortune and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
