Anthropic, the developer of the artificial intelligence model “Claude,” has revealed significant changes in its work environment over the past year. These changes include a decline in the hiring of entry-level employees and an increased reliance on AI tools for various tasks.
A company report indicated that the percentage of entry-level employees in technical departments dropped from 21 percent to 14 percent since the beginning of 2025. Additionally, the rate of new hires with limited experience fell sharply from 27 percent to 9 percent.
The report highlighted that the use of “Claude” contributed to enhanced productivity and increased the volume of completed work. However, this shift also led to a transition for some employees, who moved from directly executing tasks to supervising and reviewing outputs generated by AI systems.
Furthermore, the report showed a 20 percent increase in the time employees spend in meetings compared to the previous year. This rise reflects the growing need for coordination and human oversight in AI-supported tasks.
The company emphasized that the expansion of AI technologies is reshaping job roles and team structures. Despite this transformation, there remains a continuous need for human involvement in evaluation, decision-making, and quality control of outputs.
