A woman sustained injuries from gunfire by a Houthi sniper in Al-Dhale Governorate on Sunday evening. The incident highlights the ongoing violence perpetrated by the Iran-backed Houthi militia in the region.
Local sources reported that 40-year-old Huda Mohammed Ahmed Nasser was shot while traveling to the village of Qurd in the Hajour area. The sniper’s attack resulted in a direct injury to her.
Following the shooting, emergency responders transported Nasser to a field hospital in the Sanaa area. Sources indicate that her condition remains critical, and she requires urgent medical care and close monitoring.
The Houthi militia continues to commit repeated violations against civilians, targeting both individuals and populated areas. These actions, which include attacks in the villages of Murais, Al-Fakher, Hajour, and Al-Azraq in northern and western Al-Dhale, amount to war crimes.
This incident underscores the urgent need for international attention to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen. As violence escalates, the safety of civilians remains at risk, demanding immediate action from the global community.
