Weather Forecast: Mild Temperatures Expected Along Coastal Areas
The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology’s Weather Forecast and Early Warning Center has issued a weather forecast for Monday, predicting generally mild temperatures along coastal regions. However, the report notes that temperatures will drop significantly during the night and early morning in the provinces of Al-Mahrah, Hadramaut, and eastern Shabwa. The forecast also mentions partly cloudy skies with a chance of scattered rain in Socotra Archipelago and the southern and southwestern coasts, accompanied by moderate to active winds.
Mountainous Regions to Experience Cold and Dry Conditions
According to the daily weather bulletin received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the mountainous areas will experience dry and cold to extremely cold conditions, particularly during the night and early morning. The forecast indicates a possibility of fog and stratus clouds forming in various parts of these regions. Meanwhile, the desert and inland plateau areas will generally remain dry and clear, with moderate daytime temperatures and cold to very cold nights. Winds in these areas will be light to moderate.

The Weather Center has projected maximum and minimum temperatures for several provinces today, including:
- Aden: 29°C / 22°C
- Sana’a: 24°C / 1°C
- Mukalla: 28°C / 19°C
- Socotra: 26°C / 16°C
- Al-Ghaydah: 28°C / 13°C
- Say’un: 23°C / 4°C
- Taiz: 25°C / 13°C
- Al-Dhale’e: 21°C / 8°C
- Marib: 22°C / 6°C
- Ataq: 22°C / 7°C
- Lahij: 28°C / 20°C
- Al-Hudaydah: 31°C / 23°C
- Zinjibar: 29°C / 22°C
Public Safety Warnings for Low Temperatures
The Weather Center has issued a warning to residents in elevated mountainous areas about the potential dangers of low temperatures. Citizens, especially children and the elderly, should take necessary precautions. Additionally, the center cautions drivers in highland areas about reduced visibility due to fog formation. Farmers in these regions should remain vigilant against the risk of frost and extremely low temperatures.
Marine Conditions: Caution Advised for Fishermen
In its daily marine bulletin, the Weather Center predicts light to moderate waves along the western coasts, while the coasts of Al-Mahrah, Hadramaut, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, and Bab al-Mandab will see moderate wave conditions. The waters around Socotra Archipelago are expected to experience rough seas. The forecast indicates that the waters of the Gulf of Aden will have moderate waves, while the Red Sea will range from moderate to rough, and the Arabian Sea will be rough as well. Fishermen and sea-goers near Socotra Archipelago, the Arabian Sea, the Red Sea, southwestern and eastern coasts, Bab al-Mandab, and the island of Meyun should exercise caution due to turbulent sea conditions and active winds.
