King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Distributes School Supplies in Hadhramaut
In a significant push towards educational support in Yemen, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has initiated the second phase of its Back-to-School project. This initiative aims to distribute school bags and uniforms to students attending targeted schools in the Hadhramaut governorate.
Delivering Essential Supplies
The distribution saw 600 students receiving school bags and uniforms in alternative classrooms across four directorates: Hajr, Al Raydah Al Sharqiyah, Tarim, and Al Som. This effort was carried out in collaboration with the Al-Khair Humanitarian Coalition, under the supervision of the Coordination Unit of KSrelief. The project underscores the commitment to ensuring that education remains accessible to all, even in challenging circumstances.
Expanding Educational Support
The second phase of the Back-to-School project broadens its reach to include the governorates of Hadhramaut, Hajjah, Abyan, and Lahj. By providing 95 fully equipped classrooms with all necessary student supplies in 20 schools, the project has benefited over 1,900 students. This initiative not only underscores the importance of education in fostering a sense of normalcy amid adversity but also highlights the collaborative efforts between humanitarian organizations to support Yemen’s educational infrastructure.
A Step Towards Normalcy
By focusing on the critical needs of students in conflict-affected areas, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, along with its partners, is making significant strides towards rebuilding the educational landscape in Yemen. Projects like these are vital in ensuring that children and young adults continue their education, paving the way for a brighter, more stable future.
The ongoing efforts by KSrelief in the region demonstrate a strong commitment to humanitarian aid and the belief in education as a fundamental right for all children, regardless of their circumstances.
