Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the Yemen TV mobile application
(“the App”, available on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV as net.app.yementvappN, and on Android and Android TV as com.app.yementv) handles your information. By using the App
you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

The App is published by Yemen TV (the Yemen Satellite Channel). For any privacy

2. Information we collect

Push notification token — generated via our notification
provider, OneSignal, so we can send you news alerts and broadcast notifications.
Advertising ID (Android only) — read by the OneSignal SDK to
help deliver notifications. You can reset or limit it in your device settings.
Language preference — stored on your device to show the right
edition (Arabic, English, French, or Persian).
Reporter account data (optional) — only if you sign in as a
reporter. This may include your login identifier and any content you submit; your
password is stored in encrypted form.
Camera / photo access (only on request) — used only when you
choose to set a profile picture or take part in a photo campaign. We access these
only with your permission and only for that action.

The App does not track your location and does not
record audio. Microphone and location permissions, where present, are required by an
embedded media component and are not used to collect data about you.

3. How we use your information

To deliver push notifications and breaking-news alerts.
To remember your language and basic app preferences.
To enable reporter sign-in and news submissions (for reporter users only).

4. Third-party services

We use OneSignal to deliver notifications; data such as your push
token and (on Android) advertising ID is processed by OneSignal on our behalf — see the
OneSignal Privacy Policy. On Android,
Google Play services provide the advertising ID. We do not sell your
personal data, and we do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs beyond what
is described here.

5. Data sharing

We share data only with the service providers above, strictly to operate the App
(for example, to send notifications). We do not share your data for advertising or sale.

6. Data retention & deletion

Notification tokens are kept while the App is installed; uninstalling the App or
turning off notifications stops their use. Reporter account data is kept while the
account is active. To request access to or deletion of your data, email
privacy@yementv.tv.

7. Children

The App is a general-audience news service and is not directed to children. We do
not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Security

All app network traffic uses HTTPS, and reporter passwords are stored in encrypted
form. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps
to protect your information.

9. Your choices

Turn notifications on/off in your device settings at any time.
Reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings (Android).
Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data via the contact email.
