Houthi militant killed in Ibb days after murdering a citizen in Radmah.

Houthi Militant Killed by Tribesmen in Retaliation for Civilian's Death

In a recent development from the Ibb Governorate, a Houthi militant responsible for the death of a civilian was fatally shot by tribal gunmen. The incident, occurring within the Al Radmah district, marks a significant act of tribal retribution.

Fatal Retribution

Local sources reported that Hamdi Abdulaziz Ahmad Jabari, a Houthi gunman, met his demise during an armed confrontation with members of the Muradi family. The tribal gunmen were attempting to apprehend Jabari for his involvement in the killing of one of their family members in the Al Radmah district, located northeast of Ibb.

Jabari, who had fled after murdering Hussein Ahmad Rajeh Al-Muradi, was tracked down by the victim’s family members. The ensuing attempt to capture him led to clashes that resulted in his death.

A Cycle of Violence

It’s important to note that Jabari had previously killed both the father and uncle of the victim, Hussein Al-Muradi, around a year and a half ago. These killings, supported by Houthi militia leaders, were part of a series of retaliatory crimes against families opposing the Houthi coup.

This incident underscores the ongoing cycle of violence and the complex web of tribal and political loyalties in the region. The death of the Houthi militant not only highlights the tensions between the Houthi rebels and local tribes but also brings attention to the broader conflict engulfing Yemen.
