Houthi Militias Commit 170 Violations in 48 Hours Across Nine Provinces
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms reported that the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias committed 170 crimes and violations in the past 48 hours across nine provinces. Additionally, they launched approximately 432 projectiles indiscriminately.
Casualties and Damage Reported
A report from the network detailed that the violations in the provinces of Taiz, Aden, Sana’a, Hodeidah, Al-Jawf, Lahij, Al-Dhale, Ibb, and Amran resulted in the deaths of 29 citizens, including four women and three children. Furthermore, 36 others sustained injuries, including five women and four children. The report also noted the abduction of 16 citizens, the raiding of 61 homes, and the targeting of 23 houses with shelling.
Landmine Incident and Attacks on Facilities
The network documented the deaths of two travelers and injuries to others due to the explosion of a landmine planted by the Houthi militias on the Al-Yatma – Al-Wadiah road. The report also highlighted attacks on two health facilities, two mosques, Aden International Airport, and the Maashiq Palace.
Ongoing Siege and Humanitarian Crisis
The report emphasized the ongoing siege imposed by the Houthi militias on Taiz province, which prevents the entry of food supplies, fuel, and medicines. This situation, coupled with military escalation, exacerbates the humanitarian crisis and hinders residents’ access to essential services.
Call for International Action
The network urged the United Nations and the international community to condemn these violations and take urgent measures to protect civilians. They called for lifting the siege, opening roads, and ensuring the unobstructed delivery of humanitarian aid and essential supplies.
