Armed Forces Announce 2,309 Targeted Operations Against Houthi Militias

The Armed Forces announced today, Wednesday, the execution of 2,309 precise and direct operations. These operations utilized warplanes, drones, artillery, rocket launchers, and sniper units to target positions, vehicles, reinforcements, supplies, and elements of the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Impact of Military Operations

Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the Armed Forces, stated in a press release that the firepower contributed to dismantling enemy defense lines, silencing sources of fire, incapacitating command and control centers, isolating frontline positions, and striking reinforcements and supply lines. This strategy has created conditions for breaching fortifications and expanding the scope of penetration and advancement.

Casualties and Equipment Losses

Colonel Al-Nazili highlighted that approximately 1,250 members of the Houthi terrorist militias were neutralized, and more than 460 military vehicles and equipment were destroyed or rendered inoperable.

Ongoing Operations in Taiz

In Taiz Governorate, concentrated airstrikes and well-planned ambushes continued to target Houthi convoys and reinforcements. These operations aimed to deplete their capabilities and thwart attempts to compensate for losses and reorganize their forces.

Call to Citizens

The Armed Forces urged citizens in areas controlled by the Houthi militias to protect their children from recruitment campaigns and to avoid military sites and conflict zones. They emphasized that the door for safe return and the announced amnesty from President Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, remains open for anyone who lays down their arms and ceases fighting to return to their families and homeland.

Violations of International Humanitarian Law

The official spokesperson for the Armed Forces stated, “While our forces adhere to the rules of international humanitarian law and limit their operations to legitimate military targets, the Houthi terrorist militia continues to target civilian objects and residential neighborhoods in Taiz. This behavior reflects their disregard for civilian lives and indifference to international laws and norms, attempting to transfer the consequences of their military losses onto citizens and their homes.”

Celebrating October 14

On the occasion of the 14th of October, the Armed Forces continue to embody the meanings of liberation and sovereignty through field actions as part of the “Dawn of Yemen” operation. They have enhanced their offensive operations across various fronts and combat axes.
