The violent clashes continue between the Yemeni Armed Forces, supported by popular resistance, and the Houthi militia, which receives backing from the Iranian regime. This escalation coincides with intensive airstrikes targeting militia elements and equipment in Taiz Governorate.

Intense Airstrikes

In a brief statement released today, the Taiz Military Axis confirmed that the armed forces engage in direct confrontations with the Houthi militia in the Al-Shuqab front, southeast of Taiz. The operations aim to reclaim new positions.

In a separate announcement, the military axis reported that the armed forces’ warplanes conducted nine airstrikes targeting militia gatherings and vehicles in the surrounding fronts of the city. The strikes included:

  • Five airstrikes in the Al-Dhabab front west of the city
  • Four airstrikes in the Al-Masrak district to the south

Additionally, the air force executed four strikes last night on militia gatherings and weapons in Milat, Al-Dhabab, resulting in the destruction of a 23mm cannon, a 106mm cannon, and a tank, along with casualties among the militia.

Field Advancements by Armed Forces

This escalation follows the recent recovery of military positions by the army and popular resistance in western Taiz after intense battles with the militia. The forces successfully liberated the Al-Muqbaba, Al-Khazan, and Al-Hamra hills in the Al-Dhabab area, while confrontations continue to regain control over the Al-Sayah area.
