Yemen Participates in UNESCO Meeting for World Teachers’ Day 2026

The Republic of Yemen participated today in a ministerial meeting organized by the UNESCO Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education. This event marked World Teachers’ Day 2026, themed “With Teachers, We Build the Future,” and included ministers, officials, and experts in the education sector from several countries.

Importance of Teachers Highlighted

In his address on behalf of Yemen, Dr. Anwar Al-Mahri, the Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, emphasized the crucial role of teachers as a foundational element in human development and future building. He called for the inclusion of teachers in the formulation of educational policies and programs, urging stakeholders to leverage their expertise and suggestions to enhance education and address the challenges facing the sector.
