Minister of Public Works discusses road project needs in Dhale Governorate.
Today, in the temporary capital of Aden, the Minister of Public Works and Roads, Engineer Salem Al-Harizi, held discussions with the Governor of Dhale Governorate, Major General Ali Moqbel Saleh, regarding the province’s needs for road projects and the progress of ongoing initiatives.
The Minister of Public Works affirmed the ministry’s commitment to implementing development projects within the road sector across Dhale Governorate and other provinces. He highlighted the importance of enhancing infrastructure in these areas to ensure ease of mobility and to foster local development. Al-Harizi detailed the achievements of projects aimed at rehabilitating and maintaining major and minor roads, funded by the Road and Bridge Maintenance Fund and executed by the General Corporation for Roads.
Al-Harizi pointed out that in the coming period, efforts would be focused on launching more projects to serve the remote directorates in Dhale Governorate. These projects aim to facilitate citizens’ movement to and from these areas, as part of the ministry’s strategy in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
On his part, the Governor of Dhale Governorate discussed the most crucial projects needed in the province, including the completion of the Eastern Dhale Circular Road project and the end of the Qa’atabah road, which has achieved 70 percent completion. He also mentioned the rehabilitation of some internal secondary roads within the governorate.
