Armed Forces Capture Al-Mokha City from Houthi Militias
The Yemeni Armed Forces, supported by the National Resistance and the Giants Brigades, have successfully taken control of Al-Mokha city in western Taiz province. This operation occurred on Monday after intense battles against the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias.
Military Operations and Air Support
A military source informed the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the forces, with air support, managed to seize Al-Mokha following confrontations with the Houthi militias, which had held the city since early September. The battles unfolded in several locations surrounding Al-Mokha, where various types of weapons were deployed.
Casualties and Ongoing Pursuit
The clashes resulted in numerous casualties among the Houthi militants, with several captured and others fleeing the scene. The source noted that the armed forces continue to pursue the remaining Houthi elements, conducting sweeps of liberated areas and securing facilities from any remaining Houthi pockets.
Strategic Military Campaign
The armed forces are executing targeted military operations in line with directives from President Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. This initiative, dubbed “Dawn of Yemen,” aims to restore state institutions, liberate the capital Sana’a, and end the Houthi terrorist insurgency.
