Weather Forecast for Coastal and Mountainous Regions
The Meteorological and Early Warning Center at the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology has predicted partly cloudy to cloudy weather for coastal areas and their surroundings. On Saturday, there is a possibility of scattered rain, some of which may be accompanied by thunder, particularly along parts of the western coasts, internal highlands, and the Socotra Archipelago. Winds will remain light to moderate along the eastern coasts, while moderate to active winds are expected on the southwestern coasts and Bab al-Mandab.
Mountainous Areas and Desert Regions
According to the daily weather bulletin, which the Yemen News Agency (Saba) received, the mountainous regions will experience partly cloudy weather. Scattered rain of varying intensity, along with thunder, may occur in parts of the western and southwestern highlands, as well as in the provinces of Dhale, Al-Bayda, and the highlands of Lahij and Abyan. Meanwhile, the desert and plateau areas will see clear to partly cloudy weather, with extremely hot temperatures during the day and moderate conditions at night. Winds will remain light to moderate.
Temperature Forecast
The expected maximum and minimum temperatures for Saturday in coastal areas and their surroundings are as follows: Aden 35/29, Mukalla 32/26, Al-Hudaydah 36/29, Socotra 34/28, Al-Mokha 36/28, Al-Ghaydah 31/25, Zinjibar 36/28, and Lahij 37/27. In desert and plateau areas, the temperatures are expected to be: Sayun 38/22, Marib 37/23, Ataq 36/24, and Bayhan 36/22. In mountainous areas, the temperatures are: Sana’a 28/11, Taiz 31/17, Dhamar 26/09, Dhale 30/16, Ibb 28/14, and Al-Bayda 29/12.
Safety Warnings
The center has warned citizens and vehicle drivers in areas expecting rain to avoid riverbeds and valleys due to the risk of flash floods and reduced visibility.
Marine Conditions
In its daily marine bulletin, the Meteorological and Early Warning Center forecasts that the sea conditions along the coasts of Al-Mahra, Hadramaut, Shabwa, the western coasts, and the Socotra Archipelago will be calm. In contrast, the coasts of Abyan, Aden, and Bab al-Mandab will experience moderate waves. The sea conditions in the Arabian Sea will remain calm, while the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea will have moderate waves.
Advisory for Fishermen
The center has also cautioned fishermen and sea-goers in the Gulf of Aden and the southwestern and western coasts about potential sea disturbances and strong winds. Fishermen and sea-goers in Aden Governorate are advised to take precautions against high tides.
