In a statement released by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the country expressed its full appreciation for the Security Council’s statement issued on August 7. This statement emphasized the importance of adhering to international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2216. Kuwait highlighted the need to respect Yemen’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity while rejecting actions that threaten regional security and maritime navigation rights.
Condemnation of Houthi Attacks
Kuwait welcomed the Security Council’s condemnation of the missile attacks launched by Houthi militias against Saudi Arabia since July 13, as well as the assaults on commercial vessels that began on July 22. This condemnation reflects a unified stance against aggression in the region.
