Houthi Infiltration Attempts Thwarted by National Army in Taiz
In recent hours, the National Army successfully thwarted multiple infiltration attempts by the Houthi militia across various fronts in Taiz Governorate. These efforts resulted in significant human and material losses for the militia amid an ongoing escalation in hostilities.
Heavy Casualties for Houthi Forces
The Media Center of the Taiz Axis reported that army forces killed five Houthi fighters during a thwarted infiltration attempt on the Han Front west of the city. Intense clashes forced the militia to retreat, showcasing the army’s resilience.
Ongoing Clashes in Multiple Fronts
Army units also repelled another infiltration attempt on the Jabal Han Front late last night. Fierce confrontations ensued, ultimately leading to the failure of the Houthi attack and preventing any further advances.
In the Salo Front, southeast of the governorate, the artillery of the 35th Armored Brigade targeted Houthi gatherings at Ali Nasser Camp and Sarih Hill in the Dhamna Khadir area. This operation resulted in direct hits on Houthi positions, inflicting further casualties.
Intense Fighting in the West
In the Al-Barah Axis west of Taiz, units from the 43rd Brigade engaged in two hours of intense fighting with the militia. Utilizing artillery, the forces managed to suppress Houthi fire sources, causing both human and material losses to the militia.
Additionally, the Taiz Axis reported the death and injury of three Houthi fighters in the Al-Aneen Front in the Jabal Habashi District following another infiltration attempt. The army also thwarted a separate infiltration effort on the Al-Krifat Front east of the city on Friday evening.
Air Defense Successes
In a related escalation, government air defenses successfully shot down a Houthi drone attempting to target a training camp in the southern part of the governorate.
Continued Houthi Aggression
The Houthi militia continues to execute hostile operations, including shelling and sniper attacks targeting both military and civilian sites across various regions. This ongoing escalation reflects a broader pattern of increased military activity in Taiz and several other governorates.
