Army Forces Repel Houthi Attacks in Al Hudaydah and Al Dhale’e
In recent hours, army forces successfully countered intense artillery shelling and attacks launched by Houthi militia across several battlefronts in the Al Hudaydah and Al Dhale’e provinces.
Intense Clashes in Al Hudaydah
Early this morning, fierce clashes erupted east of Hays in Al Hudaydah following heavy shelling by the militia. The Houthi forces targeted army positions in the mountainous areas with mortar shells and heavy artillery. In response, army forces effectively silenced the sources of fire through concentrated strikes on Houthi artillery positions, achieving direct hits.
Violent Confrontations in Al Dhale’e
In Al Dhale’e, violent confrontations unfolded between joint army forces and Houthi militia in the Qatabah and Murais fronts. The army successfully thwarted a Houthi infiltration attempt at the Bab Ghalq front, forcing militia elements to retreat after inflicting significant losses in both equipment and personnel.
Targeted Artillery Strikes
Army artillery units conducted focused bombardments on militia positions in the Al Fakher front, specifically targeting Houthi fortifications in the Al Kam Nabijat and Habail Al Samai areas. These strikes effectively neutralized several artillery positions. Additionally, in the Murais front, army units retaliated against Houthi fire after the militia shelled villages along the frontline with mortar rounds.
Ongoing Houthi Reinforcements
The Houthi militia continues to deploy new reinforcements to the frontlines in northern and western Al Dhale’e. This escalation marks a sustained military effort over the past weeks, aimed at destabilizing security and threatening safe areas.
The situation remains tense as both sides prepare for further confrontations in the region.
