Egypt Announces Salary Payment Date for July 2026
The Egyptian Ministry of Finance has officially announced the salary payment date for state employees for July 2026. This payment will include the new wage increases, part of a recent social protection package approved by the government.
Salary Payment Schedule
According to ministry data, salary payments will begin on Monday, July 20. Additionally, any overdue financial entitlements will be disbursed on July 8, 9, and 12. Earlier, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly highlighted a series of economic and administrative decisions aimed at improving the financial situation for workers.
Key Details of the Wage Increase
The new wage increase includes several key components:
- Total Wage Allocation: The budget for wages will rise to 822.8 billion Egyptian pounds.
- Periodic Bonus: A 12% annual raise will apply to the functional salary for employees covered by the Civil Service Law.
- Additional Bonus: A 15% increase will be granted to the basic salary for those not covered by the law.
- Monthly Incentive: An additional incentive of 750 Egyptian pounds will be provided to all employees, costing the government a total of 77.5 billion Egyptian pounds.
Minimum Wage After the Increase
With these adjustments, the minimum wage in Egypt will be structured as follows:
- Excellent Grade: 14,500 Egyptian pounds
- High Grade: 12,250 Egyptian pounds
- General Manager: 11,250 Egyptian pounds
- First Grade: 9,500 Egyptian pounds
- Second Grade: 9,000 Egyptian pounds
- Third Grade: 8,750 Egyptian pounds
- Fourth Grade: 8,500 Egyptian pounds
- Fifth Grade: 8,250 Egyptian pounds
- Sixth Grade: 8,000 Egyptian pounds
