Minister Discusses Skill Development Initiatives in Aden

In a significant meeting held today in Aden, Dr. Anwar Al-Mahri, the Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training, engaged with Issam Qassem, the Chairman of the Skills Development Fund. The discussion focused on enhancing the fund’s performance and its role in supporting training programs aimed at youth.

Launch of the 2026 Training Program

During the meeting, Minister Al-Mahri reviewed the preparations for the launch of the 2026 training program. This initiative, executed by the Skills Development Fund, aims to train 2,780 young graduates and job seekers in Aden. The program includes 19 specialized training courses, organized into three main pathways: vocational training, modern technical skills, and management skills. These pathways align with market demands and developmental needs.

Commitment to Youth Development

Minister Al-Mahri emphasized the ministry’s commitment to equipping youth with essential skills and enhancing their professional capabilities. He highlighted the importance of conducting studies to assess the impact of these training programs. Additionally, he stressed the need to strengthen partnerships with relevant organizations to improve training outcomes and effectiveness.

Issam Qassem, the Chairman of the Skills Development Fund, underscored that the 2026 training program represents a strategic investment in human capital.
