Tarik Saleh Offers Condolences to the Family of Martyr Brigadier General Yahya Wahesh

On Thursday, Tarik Saleh, a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, visited the family of martyr Brigadier General Yahya Wahesh in Al-Khawkhah, located in the Al-Hudaydah Governorate.

A Heartfelt Tribute

During his visit, Saleh expressed his sincere condolences for the loss of Brigadier General Yahya Wahesh, the commander of the First National Resistance Brigade. He emphasized that Wahesh’s death represents a significant loss for both the Tehama region and the Yemeni armed forces as a whole.

Saleh remarked, “Our consolation lies in his genuine fighting spirit, which he passed on to thousands of heroes on the western coast fronts.”

Honoring a Hero

Saleh praised the late Wahesh for his heroic contributions to Yemen’s national struggle against Iranian influence and its proxies, particularly the Houthi militia. He noted that Wahesh’s legacy includes countless acts of bravery from the militia’s stronghold in Saada to every inch of the western coast. His efforts have left an indelible mark, establishing a legacy of resistance that will endure until the restoration of the state and the capital, Sana’a, while permanently burying the myth of guardianship.

A Call to Unity

In his remarks, Saleh stated, “The crime of assassinating Brigadier General Yahya Wahesh will only strengthen the National Resistance formations and inspire us to follow in his footsteps. His pure blood, along with that of all our martyrs, will not be in vain; it will continue to illuminate the path to victory from Tehama to Sana’a.”

Acknowledging Security Forces

Saleh also commended the efforts of the security forces, the armed forces, and the intelligence units of the First National Resistance Brigade. Their swift action led to the arrest of the perpetrators within 17 hours of the crime.

Reception by Military Leaders

Upon his arrival, Saleh was welcomed by Brigadier General Farouk Al-Khulani, the commander of the First National Resistance Brigade, along with the martyr’s father, Haj Abdullah Wahesh, and Ali Al-Yabali, the head of logistics for the brigade.

This visit underscores the ongoing commitment to honor the sacrifices made by Yemen’s heroes in the fight for national sovereignty and security.
