Today, Dr. Afrah Al-Zuba, Yemen’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, met with the leadership of the German-Yemeni Association, led by Gudrun Ort. The discussion focused on enhancing cooperation in public diplomacy, cultural exchange, and promoting Yemen’s heritage. These efforts aim to present a balanced and positive image of Yemen while supporting recovery and development initiatives.

Appreciating Collaborative Efforts

During the meeting, which included Yemen’s Ambassador to Germany, Louay Al-Iryani, Minister Al-Zuba expressed her gratitude for the association’s role in fostering friendship and understanding between the Yemeni and German peoples. She praised the association’s ongoing efforts to support community initiatives and cultural rapprochement.

Cultural Initiatives for Development

Minister Al-Zuba emphasized the importance of continuing collaboration with the association to implement cultural and community initiatives that highlight Yemen’s rich heritage. She noted that these initiatives would strengthen partnerships with German civil society organizations, benefiting bilateral relations and supporting Yemen’s development trajectory.

In response, Gudrun Ort, the association’s president, reaffirmed her commitment to enhancing Yemeni-German relations. Ort commended the existing collaboration with the Yemeni embassy in Berlin and the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation.
