Today, Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Taher Al-Aqili assessed the readiness of the First Military Region in Sayun, Hadhramaut. He also evaluated the conditions of its personnel during his visit.

In his address, Minister Al-Aqili conveyed greetings from the political leadership, including President Dr. Rashad Mohammed Alimi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and members of the Presidential Leadership Council. He emphasized that this visit is part of a broader field program aimed at inspecting various military regions to assess their conditions and identify the needs of their personnel.

During the visit, accompanied by Hadhramaut Governor for Valley and Coast Affairs Jam’an Barba’a, Commander of the First Military Region Major General Fahd Bamoumen, and several military and security leaders, the Minister inspected symbolic units of the First Military Region. He praised the high levels of readiness, discipline, and morale he observed.

The Minister also held an extensive meeting with the leadership of the First Military Region. They discussed various issues related to performance levels, existing challenges, and ongoing efforts to enhance security and stability within the region’s jurisdiction.
