Iran’s Minister of Information: The Iranian regime is the last to speak on sovereignty and respect for international law.

Iranian Regime’s Hypocrisy on Sovereignty and Independence
Minister Critiques Iran’s Actions
Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, criticized the Iranian regime for its contradictory stance on sovereignty and independence. He pointed out that while Iran publicly champions these ideals, it has engaged in nearly five decades of aggressive policies and blatant interventions. These actions have violated the sovereignty of neighboring countries, destabilized the region, and plunged it into chaos and destruction.
Exporting Revolution as Doctrine
Al-Eryani emphasized that since the inception of the "Khomeini Revolution," Iran has adopted the export of revolution as both a doctrine and a method. The regime established the "Revolutionary Guard" and the "Quds Force," led by Qassem Soleimani. Their mission focuses on creating cross-border sectarian militias in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen. These militias act as military arms that execute Iran’s agenda while undermining the national sovereignty of these states.
Strategic Maritime Control
The minister noted that Iran’s ambitions extend beyond political and military infiltration. The regime seeks to impose its dominance globally by attempting to control strategic maritime chokepoints, such as the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. This strategy aims to extort the international community and manipulate global trade routes.
Yemen as a Case Study
Al-Eryani highlighted Yemen as a prime example of Iran’s destructive project. The Iranian regime has supported the Houthi militia’s coup, enabling them to wage a devastating war. This conflict has resulted in hundreds of thousands of casualties, displaced millions, and led to the destruction of infrastructure. Furthermore, it has drained the national economy, costing the country billions of dollars.
Iran’s Claims of Sovereignty Exposed
In conclusion, Al-Eryani asserted that Iran’s current rhetoric about sovereignty is nothing more than a grand deception. He described it as a cover for a sectarian expansionist agenda that disregards borders and national sovereignty. Instead, Iran exploits religious and nationalistic slogans to further its ambitions.
Final Thoughts on International Law
Al-Eryani added that those who undermine national decisions in Beirut, Baghdad, Damascus, and Sana’a, who sponsor militias, support coups, and sow discord, have no right to speak about respecting international law and principles of sovereignty and independence.
